Venue Description
St Vincent’s is at the border of Stockbridge and the New Town, and across the road from William Playfair’s much larger St Stephen’s. A Gothic gem, St Vincent’s was opened in 1857. It is a busy Scottish Episcopal (Anglican) church which hosts a wide range of music and community activities throughout the year in both the ground floor Nave and extensive Undercroft. Home of the annual Edinburgh Sacred Arts Festival.
This venue is signed up to the Best Practice Code.
What makes this venue special?
St Vincent's is the village church in the heart of the city. Small, comfortable and with brilliant acoustic. Fine reputation as a music and small meeting venue throughout the year. There's a first class Weinbach grand piano. The extensive Undercroft is used for rehearsals, training sessions and parties
