Venue Description

Cosy and welcoming craft beer bar with sizable outside area. Home of Campervan Brewery's barrel ageing, mixed fermentation and blendery project. Focus on Scottish produce, suppliers and sustainability, we locally source many of the spirits and the wine list has a big emphasis on producers who follow low intervention practices. Kid and dog friendly. Exposed brickwork vaulted ceiling and conservatory areas inside. Seating for 80 inside, 120 outside.

What makes this venue special?

We stock weird and wonderful beers from local producers and internationally. Our main distinction is our on-site beer barrel-ageing process, with the installation of 3 x 10hl oak foeders manufactured by Allary Tonnellerie near Cognac in France.

Venue Programming

Free Fringe events only as no way to have closed off room for performances. Happy to have a mix of prebooked performers and open mic. Keeping our venue welcoming for everyone means we would not be able to host any performances with potentially offensive language or topics, with no use of swear words earlier than 9pm.

Open area with vaulted ceiling and exposed brickwork. Performances to be in front of the oak foeders towards the back of the venue so all seating would have a view of any performers, excluding the separate conservatory section.

Lighting: LED spotlights throughout the venue that can be individually angled, removed and switched on/off.
Sound: Sonos speakers throughout venue that can individually volume adjusted. Can be connected by bluetooth, wifi or line-in. Plenty of power sockets for equipment brought by performers.
Storage: Very limited. Space for personal belongings and smaller items. Anything to be left overnight would be need prior enquiry and approval.
Dressing Space: No separate designated space where personal belongings could be left spread out. Toilets, including a larger accessible one, would be best for changing, but we have had performers use our back stock room previously, though staff would need regular access to this space also.
