Venue Description

You’ll find us ensconced on the fourth floor of the St James Quarter - Edinburgh's contemporary retail and lifestyle district. With a 170-capacity bar and restaurant, we will be offering our 30-seater all-weather terrace as a Fringe space for any interested Acts. The terrace itself enjoys views onto Register Square - which boasts phenomenal daily footfall - and comes equipped with heaters, tables, chairs and mood-lighting in the evening.

Venue Programming

The terrace does not have a stage, therefore we believe the space would be better suited to solo or duo acts with minimal set-up requirements/props. While there may be noise spilling over from the bar, we can arrange to link the terrace speakers to any amps/microphones as necessary. Ideally, we'd be looking to arrange a ticket-split, but are open to discussions.

Technical Details

Type of space: Bar Space / Outdoor
Lighting: We have adjustable lighting to ensure the space is well-lit throughout the day depending on the vibe. At night, we tend to turn the lights down and have small table lamps for ambience outside.
Sound: This can be separated from the bar's main music terminal, so that performances are amplified through the terrace speakers only. Please note, there may be noise from the bar that comes through into this space.
Storage: Minimal storage is available - anything left onsite overnight would be at the Act's discretion.
