Dynamic Earth is Edinburgh's world-class Science Centre and Planetarium dedicated to telling Earth's epic story from beginning to mend.
What makes this venue special?
Dynamic Earth is a charity on a mission to empower people with an understanding and empathy for the Earth. We do this by providing compelling engagement at our Science Centre and Planetarium in Edinburgh and our learning programmes across Scotland. We are driven by a positive belief: people of all ages and backgrounds can be the problem-solvers of the future. We have 4 spaces available for hire: The Stratosphere - available for pop-up activity, capacity is variable depending on the configuration of the space and requirements of an event The Ozone (capacity is 60 seated theatre style) The Biosphere (capacity is 300 seated theatre style) Outdoor amphitheatre (capacity is 500 seated)

Performance Space Details - The Ozone (audience capacity 60)
With views of the Salisbury craggs and outdoor access to our terrace, the Ozone compliments full ceiling to floor windows boasting natural light. This space can comfortably accommodate up to 60 in a theatre layout (with capacity to extended to 80 when required) and will be complete with a handheld microphone, PA system, downlighters and TV screen all included in the room hire single platform of stage up 4m x 2m 40cm height

Performance Space Details - The Biosphere (audience capacity 300)
The flexibility of this space equipped with the latest technology and supported by a professional events team, the historic and picturesque surroundings will add uniqueness and value to your event. Capacity is 300 seated theatre style. We will provide a complimentary storage/ dressing area for you to utilise during the show, we will also include a stage (6M X 2M with a 40CM height) and in house AV all included in the room hire.

- Lighting: Full natural light with blackout blinds available, no pillars in the room, accommodate up to 300 theatre however we do have a partition in the room and can make smaller if required (180 theatre).
- Sound: • PA System, lectern and lectern microphone • Comfort monitor • Microcue
- Storage: We have a storage room available at the back of the room to use during the day, equipment must be collected at the end of the show.
- Dressing Space: Dressing room will be used in the same area as the storage room, located at the back of the event space.

Located on floor one, a blank canvas room with blackout blind facilities, accommodating up to 30 guests in a theatre layout complete with TV Screen for an slides, no microphone as this space is small enough a PA is not usually required. No staging is provided in this room. The event space will also include access to a storage/ dressing room (the Boardroom) located next to the Salisbury suite
