Across the road from The Stand Comedy Club (Stand 1), Stand 3 is one of the largest venues in the Stand family, presenting fabulous productions in a superb large theatre space with its own bar. Stand 4 is an intimate studio with exciting Fringe debuts. Venue entrance via a set of 15 steps to the courtyard, with a following 3 steps to enter Stand 3. Latecomers may not be admitted.

Round the corner from Stand 1, our little sister club is in its 24th year hosting the latest comedy talent. This intimate studio space is situated in a large, Georgian-style first floor drawing room. The venue is fully seated and has a separate bar and waiting area. For customers with access needs, the first floor is accessible by a steep flight of 23 steps. Latecomers may not be admitted.

Scotland's original and world famous purpose-built comedy club (30 Years), The Stand, is not only at the heart of the Fringe, but open all year round, it's not to be missed. The atmosphere is relaxed and informal, with cabaret-style seating and standing room. All tickets are general admission. First come, first served, queuing advised. Venue is down 9 steps through courtyard at basement level. Latecomers may not be admitted.

The Salisbury Centre

The Salisbury Centre is a community centre located in Newington with several direct bus routes. We have a beautiful garden and which is available for people use or relax in. The Centre is located behind a large white wall and is a beautiful old Victorian house from the 1800s.
We have two large rooms available for consideration and our ground floor and garden is wheelchair accessible.

The Safari Lounge

Since opening in 2013 we have already been ‘Hitlisted’ by the List for our food in our quest in taking diners on a culinary safari, with inspiration taken from all corners of the globe. We also have the drinks to match the food. We have our own Safari Lounge Lager brewed here in the land of Dun Barra as well as a fine selection of continental lagers. There is always 3 cask ales on constant rotation. During the Edinburgh Fringe we host Free Fringe shows all day every day.

The old shops on St Mary’s Street stretch from the street to the garden in the back. Drop in for some quiet time and enjoy the exhibition. We have comfortable sofas, chairs and benches where you can catch up on your emails and enjoy the art. Our gallery area opens up to a private garden where you can walk around and replenish your spirit and discover a little hidden Edinburgh.
